Using a round 38 peg loom, bulky yarn, and a simple metal tool, we will create a warm and beautiful rimmed winter hat. Ideally, you can make a hat in two or three hours. The 2024 presidential election delivered a sharply divided electorate, leaving significant sectors of the public with doubts about whether either the “right” or the “left” can effectively govern. And on a more philosophical level, whether either side can preserve democratic liberalism? And even about whether this governing philosophy is still a priority? This loss of confidence occurs not only across partisan lines, but also within parties. Can we overcome this loss of confidence? Can we deal with society’s problems? Enjoy the fall colors on this seven mile, easy to moderate bike ride. We will start from the Dansbury Park Levee Loop Trailhead and head north along the Brodhead Creek, then cross the creek and continue to Brodhead Creek Park. There we turn around, head south on the Stroudsburg side and back around to Dansbury. A hybrid style bike and reasonable safety gear are recommended. Road riding is minimal.
