The Monroe County Commissioners have requested the following information about Founders’ Day to be shared with you. Please also see the attached flyer here.
Dear Community Members,
You are warmly invited to join us in celebrating Monroe County Founders’ Day on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. This special day honors our county’s history and brings the community together for learning, food, and entertainment.
The day begins at 10:00 AM with a slide presentation titled “A Ride Through Monroe County on the DL&W,” presented by railroad historian Kim Williams. This engaging program will be held in Historic Courtroom One, located at 610 Monroe Street in Stroudsburg, PA.
From 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, the celebration continues on the Courthouse Plaza with a lively gathering featuring county department representatives, food trucks, birthday cake, and live music by Wayfarers & Co. It’s a great opportunity to connect with neighbors, learn more about local services, and enjoy a festive atmosphere.
We hope you’ll join us for this memorable day of history and community spirit. To RSVP for the slide presentation or for more information, please call 570-517-3102 or email dsantiago@monroecountypa.gov.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
Sincerely,
Monroe County Commissioners
